Ice Cream Social and Dairy Queen Crowning

The New Glarus Dairy Queen will be named during the Stuessy-Kuenzi American Legion Auxiliary’s Annual Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, June 6, 2018.

The social and ceremony will be held at the American Legion Hall, located at 1121 2nd Street, New Glarus. The menu includes barbecue sandwiches, potato salad, chips, pie, ice cream, cheese and beverages. Serving will begin at 4:30 p.m., with the Dairy Queen crowning taking place at 6:00 p.m. All are cordially invited to attend.

The Auxiliary is proud to be a sponsor of this event, along with the New Glarus Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds will help support the Badger Honor Flight.

Monticello is serving as the host community for this year’s Dairy Day festivities. The Dairy Day Cattle Show will take place at the Green County Fair Grounds on Saturday, June 16, starting at 9:30 a.m. The Queen’s Brunch will take place the following weekend, Saturday, June 23, at the Monticello Schools, with Moo-Tails at 10:00 a.m., and brunch at 11:30 a.m. The festivities close with the crowning of the new County Dairy Queen and Princess at 2:00 p.m., on Main Street in downtown Monticello, followed by an antique tractor pull.
