Nancy L. Siegenthaler

Nancy Leigh Siegenthaler, age 66 of Monticello, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at her home. She was born the daughter of Clarence and Gertrude (Schenk) Beyer on June 9, 1951, in Monroe.

Nancy attended Fairview Country School and was a graduate of Albany High School. She was united in marriage to Ralph E. Siegenthaler on June 29, 1968, in Monticello.

Along with raising her family and helping on the farm with her husband, Ralph, Nancy also worked as a licensed daycare provider for many years at Small World in New Glarus and La Petite in Verona. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Green County Humane Society, having had a love for cats since she was young. Her family was most important to her and she took great pride in caring for her home. Nancy was a longtime member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Monroe.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph of Monticello; her nine children, Carl (Bille Jo) Siegenthaler of Freeport, Kirk Siegenthaler of Monticello, Jesse (Angela) Siegenthaler of Ixonia, Shannon (Rory) Weeden of New Glarus, Monica (Mark) Hawthorn of Monticello, Danielle (Peter) Gafner of Monticello, Aaron (Holly) Siegenthaler of New Glarus, Heath (Sara) Siegenthaler of New Glarus, and Kiel (Susan) Siegenthaler of Watertown; as well as 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with a third expected in June; and her sister, Donna (Sanford) Moore of Albany. Nancy is further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Clarence Blumer; and a sister, Ruth, in infancy.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 p.m., on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Monroe, with Wes Riley officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:30 p.m., until the time of service at church.
