Henrietta A. Paulson

Henrietta A. Paulson, age 100, a former New Glarus resident, passed away at Aster Assisted Living in Monroe. She was born on August 28, 1917, the daughter of Anton and Amanda (Schachte) Uselmann.

Henrietta attended the Sauk City Elementary School and graduated from Middleton High School in 1934. On August 16, 1947, she was united in marriage to Orion Paulson at Dubuque, IA. Henrietta worked at Werner's IGA in New Glarus and for the State of Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles. She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #141 Auxiliary, and Green County 40 & 8.

She is survived by her children, Richard (Pat) Paulson, Lois (George) Eichelkraut, Judy (Al) Hanna, Paulette (Larry) Kussow; daughter-in-law, Rosie Thompson; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orion; son, Doug Thompson; grandsons, Rick Paulson and Bob Thompson; and siblings, Alfred Uselmann, Harold Uselmann, Elnora Niesen and Dorothy Endres.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison Street, Belleville, WI, with the Rev. Michael Moon and Rev. Kenneth Klink officiating. Burial is in the Swiss Church Cemetery, New Glarus, WI. Relatives and friends called from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville.
