Sandi Lybert's son Tyler started drinking when he was in sixth grade. By the time he was 16, he had tried marijuana, prescription pills and had become addicted to heroin. 

There were warning signs his parents missed and now the family is working to make sure other parents know what to look for in their presentation, "Wake Up Call," which is set up in a teenager's bedroom with more than 20 red flags that can signal drug or alcohol use.

About 30 parents attended the Your Choice Prevention Education program on May 9th. The program was sponsored by the Belleville School District, UW Health,...
