Arbor Day Celebrated in New Glarus

Students and Adult Volunteers gathered for a group photo before planting 28 trees as part of the Village of New Glarus' annual Arbor Day celebration.
New Glarus received its twenty-third consecutive Tree City USA award and a total of 28 trees were planted in New Glarus on Friday, May 4th, as part of the village's annual Arbor Day tree planting.
Adult volunteers and New Glarus High School students, under the direction of Dan Ziegler, joined Village Forester Paul Jennrich in planting trees throughout the village.
This year's planting included replacing numerous ash trees throughout the village that were removed due to Emerald Ash Borer damage. The replacement trees consisted of a diverse selection, including Exclamation London Planetree...
