New Glarus Farmers Market Opens in New Location with More Local Vendors

A dedicated team of local volunteers is working hard to bring back the New Glarus Farmers Market for the 2018 season. The Market will kick off on Friday May 11, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., in the New Glarus Hometown Pharmacy Parking Lot on Highway 69, south of the stop lights in New Glarus. In the plans for the 2018 season include vendor offerings of amazingly fresh, locally grown produce, meat, eggs, baked goods, jams, honey, pickles, sauerkraut, plants, fibers, artisanal crafts, and much more.
Market Manager, Danielle Zimmerman, says, “Holding the market in a new location and expanded vendor participation will improve market accessibility and keep customers returning on a weekly basis, to shop for weekly produce needs and fabulous seasonal offerings. The market will feature a variety of local vendor-entrepreneurs-farmers, bakers, home canners and artists.” “Proper nutrition is at the forefront of good health and wellness.
