Dear Editor,
The Good Friday New Glarus Community Blood Drive resulted in adding 74 units to the American Red Cross blood inventory. Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church Blood Drive Committee, along with the New Glarus Bible Church, would like to express our gratitude to all the businesses who donated food items to offer to the blood donors. The following businesses very generously donated food items: Roy’s Market, Sugar River Pizza, Subway of New Glarus, Ruef’s Meat Market, Glarner Stube, Hoesly’s Meats, and Culver’s. We would also like to thank the very generous team of workers who donated their time to assist in the drive: Carol Thompson, Sue and Fred Bonacker, Sue Pope, Wendy Jacobson, Dave Genschaw, Jane and Louis Olson, Tom Nelson, Art Jennrich, Donna Anderson, Grace Notter, Elaine Gerber, and Matt, Kristen and Emma Funk. Many of the team also donated tasty baked goods to offer the donors. Thank you for baking cookies, and bars!
