New Glarus Wins Over Argyle

The New Glarus Knights baseball team played at Evansville on Tuesday, March 27th. The Knights lost, 2-3.
Evansville was first on the scoreboard in the first inning. They scored again in the fifth and the Knights tied it up with two runs of their own in the sixth. In the bottom of the sixth, Evansville put a player across home plate to win.
Andrew Nimtz was 1-1 and had one run. Jared Carney scored the other point for the Knights.

Jared Carney pitched five innings in the game against Argyle, striking out nine players and only allowing one run on zero hits.
Jared Carney, Andrew Nimtz and Noah Zimmerman all pitched for the Knights. Carney thew five strikeouts while Nimtz threw four.
On March 29th, the Knights traveled to Argyle to face the Orioles. The Knights won, 5-1.
In the first inning, New Glarus sent three runners over home base, and another one in the third. Argyle's only run came in the fourth inning and the Knights scored another in the bottom of the sixth to seal their victory.
Noah Zimmerman was 2-3, and scored 2 runs, while Jared Carney was 1-1 and scored 2 runs and Andrew Nimtz was 1-2 and scored one run.
Pitching duties were shared between Andrew Nimtz and Jared Carney. Carney struck out nine players while Nimtz struck out one.
The Knights played at Pecatonica on April 3rd. On April 5th they host Lakeside Lutheran and will host Orangeville on April 6th and Lodi on April 10th.
