ALVIN C. KVAMME

Alvin C. Kvamme, age 68 of rural Belleville, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at his home. He was born on November 20, 1949, in Monroe to his parents, Casper and Lola (Anderson) Kvamme.
Al graduated from New Glarus High School in 1967. After high school Al served in the U.S. Army Reserves for six years, and was detailed to Fort Wachuka, AZ, and Fort Bliss, TX. During this time, he worked at Federal Industries in Belleville until 1976, when he went farming. On July 11, 1970, he was united in marriage to Sue Jorenby at the Mount Horeb Evangelical Lutheran Church. Al farmed with his wife, Sue, until 2004, when they sold the dairy cattle. He then worked for the Bruce Company until retiring in 2013. Al loved animals and the outdoors, he enjoyed taking rides on the gator and in his Jeep. He had a great sense of humor and would share the many Norwegian jokes he had collected. Most of all, Al loved his family.
Al is survived by his wife, Sue; son, Nicholas (fiancée Rae Cudzewicz) Kvamme; daughter, Kimberly (Jim) Marshall; grandchildren, Maverick and Elizabeth Gruchalski; sister, Joann (Larry) Sherven; uncles, Herman (Jeanne) Kvamme and Kenneth (Gerry) Anderson; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; uncles; and brothers-in-law, John and Carl Jorenby.
A celebration of Al's life will be held at a later date.
