Mock Trial Earns Fourth in Regional Competition

On Saturday, February 10th, the New Glarus Mock Trial team competed against regional competition at Janesville in the Statewide Mock Trial competition, sponsored by the State Bar Association of Wisconsin. Students have worked for five months on a fictional civil case involving the alleged vandalism of a mining company's, Dig Deep, machinery by the defendant, Jessie Green, an environmentalist.
In the competition students are scored for their performance of either a lawyer or a witness in a courtroom battle. Teams move on to the next level based on their wins to losses ratio. Every year t...
