The Monticello Ponies boys basketball team played at Pecatonica on February 8th. The game started out very close, with the Ponies only down by one at the half, and the two teams were evenly matched throughout the second.

“They worked hard to defend our post game, but we countered with a balanced scoring attack,” commented Coach Mark Olson.

With less than six minutes left in the game, the Vikings put together a 17-10 run to earn the victory. The final score of the game was Pecatonica 62, Monticello 52.
