The Ponies boys basketball team played at Barneveld on January 5th. They lost the game, 56-22.

Monticello’s Braden Gafner scored a quick two points to begin the game, but Barneveld went on a 34 point run which carried over into the second half until Jon Errthum and Reece Rufer scored a pair of baskets with a little over two minutes gone in the second.

Reece Rufer led Monticello with 11 points and Braden Gafner, Jon Errthum and Travis McCoy all scored 3 points each. Gafner pulled down four rebounds, while Errthum and Simon Blohowiak each had two rebounds.
