The Monticello boys basketball team played at Black Hawk on December 12th, and lost, 68-22, after trailing by 22 at the half. According to Coach Mark Olson, “We had trouble containing Connor Meyer, who scored 31 for Black Hawk. We also played a little faster than we should and had trouble scoring.”

Reece Rufer led the Ponies with 7 points and six rebounds, while Jon Errthum scored 5 points and Jeffery Ace put 4 points on the board. Simon Blohowiak pulled down four rebounds.
