New Glarus Falls Short Against Lodi

The New Glarus girls basketball team played at Platteville on December 4th. After being down 18-44 at the half, the Knights stepped up their offensive game in the second but it wasn’t enough to secure a win. They lost, 42-68.

Riley Parker led the team with 11 points, including three 3-pointers. Julia Barnaby scored 9 points and had five blocks, and Lexi Krause put 8 points on the board.

On December 5th, the team hosted Lodi. At the half, the teams were tied at 20, but Lodi outscored New Glarus in the second by three to win, 40-37. The Knights were 3-4 from the free throw line.

Julia Barnaby scored 10 points to lead New Glarus. Willow Lee scored 8 points, and Riley Parker and Lexi Krause each scored 6, with Krause having four assists. Morgan Hustad had seven rebounds, four assists and four steals.

The Knights hosted Poynette on December 12th and will play Mauston on December 16th at Justagame Field House.
