October 26, 2017

Anna Wolf, a native of Blanchardville, WI, and graduate of New Glarus High School, will compete for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women’s swimming and diving team during the 2017-18 season, which began Saturday at the All-Wisconsin Invitational at Schroeder Aquatic Center in Brown Deer.

Wolf, a sophomore at UW-Whitewater, is majoring in Marketing.

Both the men’s and women’s teams placed third at last year’s Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, the fifth consecutive top three finish for both teams. Michaela Matthys (Crystal Lake, Ill./McHenry West) of the women’s team qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships, where she competed in the 100-yard butterfly, the 100-yard breaststroke and the 50-yard freestyle.

Head Coach Joel Rollings returns for his 12th season at the helm of both programs. He is a four-time WIAC Coach of the Year, sweeping men’s and women’s top coaching accolades in 2014-15, and has led the Warhawks to a combined 89 school record performances, 46 conference championships and 13 All-America honors.
