September 14, 2017
Swiss Church will be hosting their annual 2017 Kilby Supper on Saturday, September 23rd. Food will be served from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Dining will be at Swiss Church, in Fellowship Hall. Carry outs will also be available. Additionally, delivery service is available for those unable to drive downtown to pick up your meals. Please contact the church office at (608) 527-2119 if you would like to make your reservation for a delivery.
If parking is a challenge downtown – no problem! A Shuttle Service is being offered between the New Glarus Home Chapel parking lot and the church. Guests are welcome to park at the New Glarus Home Chapel parking lot. Drivers will drop you off at the church door, and then will take you back to your vehicle again when you have finished your dinner.
The Kilby Supper is a long-standing tradition of Swiss Church, and everyone is welcome! The Supper is a favorite of residents and visitors alike; it includes a traditional Swiss-style meal offering guests a host of specialties made from original recipes handed down for generations. This is the largest annual fundraising event for the Swiss Church, and proceeds this year will be directed to repair, maintenance and updates to the church buildings and campus.
The Kilby dinner includes Swiss Meatballs, Ham, Swiss Potatoes, Swiss Beans, Carrot Salad, Applesauce, Cheese and Swiss Bread. Dessert will feature more Swiss specialties like Braetzli, Pear Bread, Zuribieter and Homemade Pies and Ice Cream. Milk and Coffee are included.
The supper is open to the public and tickets can be purchased in advance at the Church Office during normal business hours. A ticket sale tent will be open at the church property the day of the event, or you can purchase your tickets at the door that evening. The cost is $12.00 per person (children under six eat free). Everyone is welcome!
