On Monday, August 21, 2017, Mary S. Way, 59, New Glarus, was arrested and charged with one count of Felony Theft – Business Setting (less than $2,500-$5,000), two counts of Felony Theft – Business Setting (Over $10,000), and three counts of Felony Identity Theft – Financial Gain after a one-year investigation.

In August of 2016, the New Glarus Police Department received information from Green County Human Services regarding an alleged theft of money spanning several years from an elderly victim residing in the Village of New Glarus by their Power of Attorney.
