Family Donates Bench in Honor of Arnold Kehrli

The Kehrli family, with the help of Steve Wisdom and Barb Kummerfeldt, have purchased a bench in memory of Arnold Kehrli to go in front of the Rusty Raven in downtown New Glarus.

The building that houses the Rusty Raven had been a part of the Kehrli family history as a cheese store and bar since 1911. It had belonged to Arnold Kehrli Sr., then Arnold Kehrli Jr. and his wife, Dorothy.

The building was moved across the street from its original location, making the back the front and vise versa.

Members of Kehrli family grew up in the family living quarters both behind and above the store. Up...
