Mavis (Zweifel) Wilde, age 80, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. She was born in Dayton, WI, on July 11, 1937, the daughter of Herman and Lois (Pernot) Zweifel.

She was united in marriage to Reginald Wilde in 1952, at Caledonia, MN. Mavis and her husband owned and operated several milk routes during their married life and made many lasting friendships with the farmers they served. She enjoyed her farmette and raising chickens and rabbits. Mavis was also known for her baking skills and baked cookies almost every day to share with family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mavis is survived by her friend, Milton Stuessy; brothers, Wayne (Carole) Zweifel, Blanchardville, WI, Roger (Diane) Zweifel, Dayton, WI, and Herman (Nadine) Zweifel, Federal Way, WA; sisters, Lavon Birkrem, Cambridge, WI, JoAnn (Joseph) Cunningham, Columbus, WI, and Margie (Francis) Best, Belleville, WI; nieces; nephews; and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reginald in 1987; sister and brother-in-law, Allene and Stanley Schmitz; brother-in-law, Glen Birkrem; and sister-in-law, Arlene Zweifel.

A graveside burial service was held at 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at the Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, WI, with Pastor Patty Marty officiating.
