Bestselling Author to Visit New Glarus

New York Times bestselling author Elizabeth Berg will be visiting New Glarus on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, to promote her book Make Someone Happy, a collection of favorite blog posts and entries; and give her fans a sneak peek at her newest novel The Story of Arthur Truluv, which is due to be published in November. Berg is the author of many bestselling novels including Open House (an Oprah’s Book Club selection), Talk Before Sleep, which was shortlisted for the Abby (American Bookseller’s Book of the Year, and The Year of Pleasures. Her novels Durable Goods and Joy School were selected as ALA Best Books of the Year. Her books have been translated into twenty-seven languages and three have been made into television movies.
This event, which will take place in the New Glarus Village Hall Community Room and begins at 6:00 p.m., is free and everyone is invited to attend. Treats, including Erica’s cheesecake, will be provided and there will be time afterwards to chat with Ms. Berg and purchase books. According to the author’s website, Ms. Berg’s partner Bill and their dog Gabby will also be in attendance. Ms. Berg will also be honoring Homer, who recently went on the Big Journey, with a tie-in to an animal shelter – you might even find your next best friend!
