Monticello to Host German Big Band/Choir
Looking for Host Families
July 27, 2017
Blue Lake International Exchange Program has offered Monticello Middle and High School the opportunity to host Big Band and Choir of Markgraefler Gymnasium Muellheim, September 11-15, 2017. This is a great honor for our district, but we need your help! There will be almost 70 students and directors who will need a place to stay. We are hoping you would be willing to open your home and share with them our Wisconsin culture.
Blue Lake guests should be treated as much as possible as a member of the family. Guests are asked to be neat, helpful and courteous - please do not hesitate to let your guest know if he or she does something that displeases you. We ask that you provide a clean and safe environment for the guests. This should include the following: Smoke free environment, Private room with a bed, Overall clean house, Quality meals.
As a host, it will be your responsibility to make sure your guests get to rehearsals, concerts, and other planned activities on time. We will make sure you have an itinerary of events. As a host, you should know the whereabouts of your guests at all times. If they request permission to leave, it may be granted or denied at the convenience of your family. If granted, it is recommended that the host parents set a time for return.
