Gather up your friends and have fun competing in the water fights at the New Glarus Fire Department's annual Firefest on August 5, 2017! You don't need to be a firefighter to take part in the competition, any team of three can take part. Along with the water fights, there will be lots of great food, family activities, and entertainment by the Greenfield Brothers and Madison County!
The New Glarus Fire Department is hosting Firefest on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at the New Glarus Fire Station, 212 4th Avenue.
Firefest in an interactive family event, feature Fire Truck Rides, Kid's Waterfights, Kid's Firefighter Challenge, Inflatable Rides, and Adult Waterfights (open to any three person team). There will also be food, beverages and musical entertainment by the Greenfield Brothers and Madison County. Attendees also have the opportunity to purchase 50/50 raffle tickets and merchandise in support of the New Glarus Fire Department.
The Fire Truck Rides for all ages, Kid's Firefighter Challenge, Kid's Waterfights and Inflatable Rides will be going on from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. All activities are FREE.
The concession stand is open from 11:30 a.m.-12:00 a.m., serving find Hoesly's Meats bratwurst, hot dogs, delectable sandwiches and walking tacos. The beverage stand will have beverages to quench any thirst.
Registration for the Adult Open Waterfights begin at 2:00 p.m., and the waterfights begin at 2:30 p.m. These are open to any three person team. All safety equipment will be provided by the New Glarus Fire Department.
The Greenfield Brothers will play from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. From 4:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m., is the Steak Fry, featuring Hoesly's Meats best aged beef. There will be a live auction from 7:15 p.m.-7:45 p.m., of sports memorabilia, collectibles and donated items and Madison County will take the stage from 8:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. The 50/50 half cash raffle drawings will take place at 2:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. You may purchase tickets from NGFD members during walkthroughs.
The New Glarus Fire Department is a volunteer emergency service, professionally staffed by thirty-nine firefighters from the community. Your generous donations allow us to purchase firefighting and rescue equipment and have contributed to the building fund for the upcoming addition to your fire station. All of your past, present and future contributions support the mission of the New Glarus Fire Department.
