Cruis'n Wisconsin Car, Motorcycle and Truck Show
June 29, 2017
The Blanchardville Community Pride will be sponsoring their 31st Annual Cruis’n Wisconsin Car, Motorcycle and Truck Show on Sunday, July 9, 2017, rain or shine, in McKellar Park, Blanchardville.
This year’s feature vehicle will be a 1937 Ford Cabriolet, “Velocity,” owned by Scott and Ann Jobb of LaGrange, Illinois. “Velocity” is a scratch built car, built by the late Barry Loebeck’s V8 Shop in Cleveland, Ohio, that took seven years to build. It is powered by a small block Chevy ZZ4 and 700R4 transmission and a highly modified fiberglass body. Over 100 handmade polished stainless steel bolt caps and too many handmade parts to list, this Bright Amber Metallic Street Rod has traveled 72,000 miles and to 36 different cities in North America, showing in 56 indoor shows, and has never come home without an award. Awards include a 2003 Great 8 Finalist for the Ridler Award, a 19 time Best Rod Award in the ISCA Circuit, Second Place at the ISCA Finals in 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015, and many more awards too numerous to list.
Wyatt Raymond is this year’s local spotlight, with his 1998 Nissan 240sx. The 27-year-old Blanchardville native has spent two years building this 1,000 horsepower street car, which was completely built and assembled in Blanchardville and will be a must see.
This year’s special attraction is Wrecktify Collision and Restoration of New Glarus. On display will be samples of their current projects. Follow them on Facebook or visit them at http://www.wrecktifycollision.com to see what they’re up to.
