CHRISTOPHER T. RILEY
June 8, 2017
Christopher T. "Tup" Riley passed away June 1, 2017, at his home in Belleville. Tup was born September 14, 1959, at Madison General Hospital (Meriter) to Thomas M. and Mary (Gilbertson) Riley.
He grew up in Verona, where he was an excellent wrestler for the Verona High class of 1977. He went on and graduated from MATC. On August 24, 1991, he and Susan Brown Norsetter were married on their farm in Belleville. Tup and Susy's three children, Philipp, Chelsea and Dylan, were the true bond to their marriage.
Tup and Susy opened their restaurant, Daverino's, in Verona, a staple for many years, where numerous friendships were made. Tup was a farmer, financial planner, fisherman and jack-of-all-trades for everyone. He was one of the all-time greatest fishermen and cribbage players, as well as the greatest handyman. Tup was always the one that everyone could count on if they needed anything. He was extremely supportive and giving. He will be forever missed but never forgotten.
He is survived by his wife, Susy; and children, Philipp (Laury) Norsetter and their children, Oliver (Ollie) and Fern, daughter Chelsea (Mike) Uebersetzig, and son, Dylan. He is further survived by his parents, Thomas M. (Lila) Riley and Mary (Bruce) Cruger; his in-laws, Georgene (Tom Streb) Brown and Nick (Judy) Brown; his brother, Michael (Nicki) Riley; and sister, Sue Ann (Bob) Whetstone; and countless friends and relatives.
There was a celebration of Tup's life at the family home, N9234 Hillcrest Road, Belleville, WI, on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at 1:00 p.m.
"I wish not to mourn anymore, but marvel at the amazing life you had." Mike Riley
