"Keeping the Pulse"
New Glarus Area EMS Run/Walk and Open House Fundraiser Slated for Saturday, June 10th
June 1, 2017
New Glarus Area Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is planning its annual community open house and run/walk for Saturday, June 10th.
The event provides an opportunity for those of all ages to learn more about emergency medicine, enjoy fun activities and good food, and meet the people who respond to calls for help in the New Glarus community.
It’s also an important annual fundraiser to support the work of EMS, and every dollar raised goes to support the ambulance service and the equipment it needs to provide around the clock care, 365 days of the year.
The New Glarus Area EMS “Keeping the Pulse” 5K run/walk will start at 9:30 a.m., on June 10th, right in front of the EMS Station at 401 3rd Street. A kid’s “Fun Run” will be held at 9:00 a.m., that morning, also beginning at the EMS Station. Awards will be given for the top finishers! Online registration for the run/walk is open until June 1st at: http://www.active.com/new-glarus-wi/running/keeping-the-pulse-2017. Registration can also be done the morning of the run/walk, right at the EMS Station, starting at 8:00 a.m. Weather permitting, the UW-MedFlight helicopter, along with other public safety organizations, will be a part of the open house for kids and families to visit.
