Swiss Immigrants to Be Topic of GCGS Meeting

Janette Hartman will speak on the 1832 journey of the Emma Rudolf family, immigrants from Switzerland, through St. Louis up the Fever River area, finally making their way to New Glarus. Their experiences are similar to those of other immigrants. Janette Hartman is the former curator/administrator of the Iowa County, Wisconsin Society Museum with an interest and knowledge of the early history of southwestern Wisconsin.
