Carol M. Isley

Carol Marie Isley, age 74, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017, at Pleasant View in Monroe. She was born on May 26, 1942, at Madison General Hospital to her parents, Clifford and Eleanor (Sonsteby) Snider.

Carol graduated from New Glarus High School in 1960. She first married Byron Eichelkraut in January of 1963, and then later married Raymond Isley in December of 1988. Carol worked for 38 years at Oaktron, Advance Transformer and Orchid in Monroe, in quality control. She had also worked at the Monroe Manor, Swiss Colony Inn and the Green County Humane Society. She had been a member of the Primrose Lutheran Church and had taught Sunday School. Carol enjoyed gardening and antiques, and loved her animals.

Carol is survived by her son, Paul (Brenda) Eichelkraut; grandchildren, Ashley (Cory) Gabioud, Shauna Eichelkraut and Bryce Eichelkraut; great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Grayson, Addalyn and Jameson. She is further survived by a brother, Roger Snider.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Byron and Raymond; two infant children; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Kathy Snider; and a niece, Rene Snider.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 Sixth Avenue, New Glarus, WI, with the Rev. Kim Moeller officiating.

A gathering of relatives and friends will precede the service from 4:00 p.m. until time of services on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the funeral home.
