Wildcats Victorious Over Knights

Wildcat pitcher Derek Baumgartner went seven strong innings to get the 4-3 win over the Knights.
The Wildcats played at Marshall on May 2nd, losing 0-7. The game was over for Belleville early on as Marshall scored five runs in the second inning.
Four players went 1-3 at bat: Drew Shrader, Jaydon Winkers, Jackson Richter and Nathan Mabis.
Markus Markiewiecz, Derek Baumgartner and Austin Fahey shared time on the mound. Markiewiecz struck out four while Fahey struck out one.
On May 4th, the Wildcats headed south to face the New Glarus Knights. The lead went back and forth a couple of times, but the Wildcats emerged victorious, winning 4-3.
For the Wildcats, Austin Fahey went 2-3 at bat, with one run scored. Jaydon Winkers was 2-4 at bat, with two runs scored. Markus Markiewiecz, Derek Baumgartner and Luke Kelly were 1-3 at bat. Markiewiecz had two RBIs, while Kelly had one. Brock Kelly scored one run.
Derek Baumgartner and Austin Fahey pitched for the Wildcats. Baumgartner struck out two, while Fahey struck out one.
Dylan Legnar went 1-2 at bat for the Knights, with one run scored and one RBI. Noah Zimmerman and Jared Carney were both 1-3 at bat and both scored one run.
Jared Carney and John Chenoweth pitched for the Knights, Carney struck out ten.
On May 5th, Belleville hosted Cambridge, winning 5-1. Belleville took the lead in the first inning and though Cambridge scored in the top of the fourth, Belleville came back with four more runs to win the game.
Austin Fahey went 1-2 at bat, with one run scored and one RBI. Drew Shrader, Coltyn Winkers, Markus Markiewiecz and Dylan Gratz all went 1-3 at bat with Shrader scoring two runs. Luke Kelly, Jaydon Winkers and Austin Fahey all scored runs.
On May 9th the Wildcats hosted Marshall and on May 13th will play a Double Header at Wisconsin Heights.
