ROGER VAN DEN WILDENBERG

Roger Van Den Wildenberg, age 82 of Belleville, joined the Lord on Monday, May 8, 2017. Roger was born on March 21, 1935, to Peter and Henrietta (Sanderfoot) Van Den Wildenberg in Appleton, WI.
He graduated from Appleton Senior High School in 1953. After graduation he was employed at The George Banta Company from 1953 until 1978, at which time he owned and operated the College Avenue Shoe Repair. In 1980 he was employed by Air Wisconsin as a programmer until June of 1993, at which time he moved to Belleville and was employed by Conney Safety Products as a programmer.
Roger was married to Julia Ann Barbieur for 27 years, and they had three daughters. He was a charter member of St. Bernadette Church in Appleton, where he started his lifelong love of singing in the choir. In 1980 he joined St. Thomas More and enjoyed many years of friendship with the choir and people of the parish. After moving to Belleville he joined the parish of St. Mary of Lourdes and its choir, now St. Francis of Assisi parish, where he was a member until 2016. He also is a past member of the Sugar River Singers of Belleville and the Men of Note.
He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Kernen of Albany, Amanda (Thomas) Sonnenburg of Belleville and Teresa (Stephen Wieloch) Van Den Wildenberg of Marshall; eight grandchildren, Ryan (Kayla), Adam and Leah Sonnenburg, Nick, Ben and Hannah Kernen and Sarah and Paul Wieloch; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Norman (Anita) Van Den Wildenberg and Gerald (Arlene) Van Den Wildenberg; and sisters, Cecilia (Joseph) Rupiper and Ilamae (Earl) Loewenhagen.
A Mass in Celebration of his faith and life will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 12, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison Street, Belleville, WI, with the Rev. Michael Moon and Rev. Kenneth Klink officiating.
A gathering of relatives and friends will precede the Mass from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is assisting the family.
A memorial fund has been established.
