Knights Lose Season Opener to Evansville

The New Glarus Knights baseball team opened their season by hosting Evansville on Tuesday, March 28th.
Evansville held a 9-point lead when the Knights scored in the fifth inning. Evansville took an opportunity to put two more players over home plate at the bottom of the fifth, and won the game, 11-1.
Skylar West and Alex Goecke both had one hit, while Goecke had one walk and West had one RBI. Connor Siegenthaler, Noah Zimmerman and Andrew Nimtz shared the mound for the Knights. Siegenthaler threw six first pitch strikes while Nimtz threw five. Zimmerman had two strike outs.
