Knights Named Regional Champs For First Time Since 1991
New Glarus Will Face #1 Seed Darlington Thursday Night

For the first time since 1991, the New Glarus boys basketball team are the Regional Champions after beating Deerfield 87-73 on Saturday night. On Friday night, the Knights took on the Wildcats of Belleville, winning 69-46. The Knights will take on the Darlington Redbirds in the first game of Sectionals on Thursday, March 9, in Evansville. On Friday, March 3rd, the New Glarus Knights hosted the Belleville Wildcats in a WIAA regional semi-final game. The gym was packed to capacity, and tickets sold out quickly to the fans that formed lines extending out of the building.
The Knights were leading at the half, 37-15. The Wildcats, however, picked up their pace in the second half, only scoring one less point than the Knights. New Glarus won the game, 69-46.
