Lady Knights Move On To Regional Play

Lexi Krause was the leading scorer with 16 points in the Valentine's Day win over Evansville.

The New Glarus girls achieved a sweet win on Valentine's Day this year, beating Evansville on their home court. After leading by 12 at the half, the girls held on to their lead throughout the second half to win the game. The final score was New Glarus 63, Evansville 44.

Leading the team in scoring was Lexi Krause, who scored 16 points. Devon Boll scored four three-pointers and a free throw for 13 points, McKinley Righter added 11 points, and Willow Lee ended the game with 10 points and 16 rebounds.

The Lady Knights played their final home game against Watertown Luther Prep on February 16th. The team's four seniors, Sarah Rotar, Devon Boll, McKinley Righter and Lydia Sprecher, were honored during the game. "All four girls have done a tremendous job all season long," said Coach Kim Burton. "The team and coaching staff appreciate their hard work and leadership throughout the season."

After leading by double digits at the half, the Lady Knights won the game. The final score was New Glarus 62, Watertown Luther Prep 56.

Willow Lee led the team with 14 points, 13 rebounds and three steals. McKinley Righter scored 13 points and had six rebounds. Sarah Rotar added 9 points to the board and had four assists and Devon Boll scored 7 points.

The team played at Lancaster on Tuesday, February 21st, for a WIAA regional game.
