Town of New Glarus Looks at the Need for High Speed Internet
The Town of New Glarus recently surveyed residents to determine satisfaction with Broadband services in the area. The results posted on the town’s website, www.tn.newglarus.wi.gov, show that nearly 70% of New Glarus residents use DSL for internet service; the majority of internet users have service speed up to 5Mbps; and just more than 81% report they never, or only sometimes, receive the speed they pay for. A staggering 84% of the respondents are not satisfied with their internet service.Â
Slow internet access inhibits the town’s ability to attract new businesses and residents.
