Region 6 of Wisconsin FCCLA held their annual STAR Events competition on Monday, February 6, 2017, at Oregon High School. Ten Monticello FCCLA members competed and received these placings: Sarah Blumer - Gold in National Programs in Action; Mackenzie Errthum - Gold in Career Investigation; Lindsey Pence and Abby Wicker - Gold in Sports Nutrition; Claire Klossner - Silver in Nutrition and Wellness; Jacy Rufer, Hannah Zanow and Miah Brokopp - Silver in Life Event Planning.

They will all be moving onto state competition, which is held at the Wisconsin FCCLA State Leadership Conference, April 3-5.

Also competing were Simon Blohowiak in Nutrition and Wellness and Ali Risley in Recycle and Redesign.  Thanks to Sharon Blohowiak, Kenneth Colle and Alice Kranig for volunteering to be judges.  Great job also to our regional reps, Simon and Mackie, for their efforts in making it a successful event.
