Love is the Basic Nice Four-Letter Word

Dear Editor,

No one today has to be a genius to figure out that America and the rest of the world is in a lot of trouble.  And it may get worse before it gets better. But be assured, it won’t all be solved or improved by our friends in Washington, D.C.  We have grown so far away from our original roots.  Now I have the right to do anything I want, think anything I want. And I don’t need to at least respect your viewpoint!

No, I can’t change the world. But I can certainly do my part to make my little corner of it better.  We make it so complicated when it could be so simple.  We don’t even have to figure it out.  God gave us the formula in His word.  “Do unto others as you would have them do to you.”

Love is the basic nice four-letter word.  Love those others like you would like to be loved. Accept them like you would like to be accepted.  It starts with basic steps – like a smile, a “good morning,” a little kindness.  I promise you that if we each took time for others that our own worlds would be so much improved.  Love you!
