Emerald Ash Borer Confirmed in New Glarus
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) confirmed earlier this week that the insect Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) was found in an ash tree within the Village limits. The DNR confirmation follows other confirmed EAB infestations within Green County, including the Village of Brooklyn, Decatur Township, and the City of Monroe. According to the DNR, EAB is an invasive, wood boring beetle that kills ash trees by feeding on the inner bark and starving the tree.
