It's the last chance to order your grilled chickens for the Chickaree, which will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2017.

Chickens must be pre-ordered by Friday, January 27, 2017. Cost is $7.00 per each half chicken (no dinners-just chicken).

Pre-order your half chickens in advance at Gempeler's Supermarket, Boar's Nest, Eagle Pass, The Kooler, Luckys Farm Tavern, T&D's Bar & Grill, or the Rathskellar.

Pay and pick up your order at the octagon shelter between 11:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m., on January 29th.

The Community Club will be grilling 550 chickens again this year. Half chickens will be sold at $7.00 (not a complete dinner...just chicken). These chickens are the same kind of chicken that is cooked at Homecoming.

If you are homebound and have no one to pick up your chicken, call Carol Strause and leave a message at (608) 293-4994. A Community Club member will deliver your chicken to you on January 29th.

On the day of the Chickaree, all preordered chicken must be picked up between 11:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m., at the Octagon Shelter. After 11:30 a.m., any chicken not picked up will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Make your check out to the Monticello Community Club. Preordering is the only way to go; otherwise, you might be out in the cold!

Unless there is a blizzard, extremely cold temps, and/or high winds, we promise to grill chicken.

If you would like to help cook chickens, call the Head Cluck, Mark Wittenwyler at (608) 938-4921, or Wade Wittenwyler at (608) 938-4463. You don't have to be a Community Club member to help!
