Sugar River Wrestling Does it Again! Conference Champions

2016-2017 Capitol South Conference Wrestling Champions This is the second year in a row that the Raiders have won the Capitol South Conference. The Sugar River Raider wrestling team traveled to Cambridge on January 12th to compete in the Capitol South Duals with conference rivals Waterloo, Marshall and Cambridge.
In the first dual, against a short-handed Waterloo, the Raiders were victorious, 60-9. Individual scores were: Brandon Springer over SRR’s Robert Chenoweth (120 lbs). Justin Knoebl (126 lbs) over Anthony Zimdars. Max Gerner (132 lbs) over Carlos Garcia. John Chenoweth (138 lbs) over Tommy Brey. Hayden Latsch (152 lbs) over Jacob Garza. Riley Ritter over SRR’s Noah Leonard (170 lbs).
