Dear Editor,

The people in the Belleville and surrounding communities are awesome!  The 2016 Belleville Giving Tree Program was a huge success…thank you to everyone who was involved to make that happen!

We’d like to acknowledge the following businesses and community organizations for the important roles they played to help make this program a success.  Thank you to the following: Advanced Plumbing Systems – Verona; Belleville Chiropractic and Wellness Center; Belleville Community Bank; Belleville Hometown Pharmacy; Belleville PTO; First United Church of Christ Members; Grace United Methodist Church Members; Hughes Flooring – Verona; Ideal Plumbing Systems – Verona; Miller and Son’s Supermarket – Verona; St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Members; Sugar River Bank of Belleville; Union Bank and Trust of Belleville. 

Numerous individuals, community groups, and anonymous donators in Belleville and the surrounding towns also made donations that helped in so many ways.  Even though your names may not be listed here…thank you to everybody who helped in any manner!  . 

Our schools also made a huge impact.  Many of the students, staff, and organizations in the school community took gift tags from the tree and purchased gifts for children in need.  Many children earned the money themselves to donate.  It is obvious that we have very caring children in our community.  Parents, thank you for modeling these acts of kindness for your children!  Thank you, students, parents and staff!

All of these gestures certainly portray the effectiveness of Belleville’s community spirit and generosity.  Thanks you, citizens of Belleville and surrounding communities!
