Ten Belleville High School students in the School District of Belleville's Child and Family Studies course visited the Sugar River Senior Center this past week. Both the students and senior citizens benefited from this cross-generational field trip by sharing stories, chatting and having fun together. The students engaged senior citizens in conversation about themselves, their families, holiday traditions and other stories they were willing to share. While they conversed, the students and seniors partook in the traditional holiday activity of decorating cookies.
