Donald P. Mussehl

Donald P. Mussehl, age 84 of Belleville, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at his home. He was born on January 24, 1932, at Platteville, WI, to his parents, Stanley and Helen (Dickson) Mussehl.

Don graduated from Mineral Point High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. On July 9, 1956, he was united in marriage to Mary Thorison at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mineral Point. Don retired from Federal Industries in Belleville in 1999, after 35 years of service. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville. Don enjoyed the outdoors and hunting (especially trips out west and the back forty up north), and cooking. Most of all he was a husband, dad, and grandpa who loved and cherished his family.

Don is survived by his wife, Mary of Belleville, WI; children, Mark (Susan) Mussehl of Belleville, WI, Daniel (Melissa) Mussehl of Verona, WI, Michelle (Pete) Petersen of Volo, IL, Randy (Angela) Mussehl of Oregon, WI, Craig (Denise) Mussehl of Belleville, WI, Rodney (Melissa Anderson) of Belleville, WI, Ronald (Shelley) Mussehl of Pardeeville, WI, Christopher (Debra) Mussehl of Verona, WI, and Donny (Michelle) Mussehl of New Glarus, WI; seventeen grandchildren, Cody, Ben, Andrew, Kari, Cassidy, Ross, Kash, Brooke, Paige, Kendra, Hunter, Rylie, Kenyon, Amelia, Owen, Matthew, and Mitchell; five great-grandchildren, Royce, Bree, Carter, Annabelle, and Kaygan. He is further survived by his brother, Robert (Willie Mae) Mussehl of Belleville, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jo and Mick McDermott; special uncle, Don Dickson; an infant grandson; infant great-granddaughter; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Claire and Gladys Thorison.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI, with the Rev. Michael Moon officiating. A gathering preceded the mass from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville.

The family would like to thank the Home Health United staff, Stacy and Dee, and Agrace Hospice Care, Inc. nurse, Ashley.

The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is assisting the family.
