To keep the upcoming holiday season from becoming a time of tragedy, the New Glarus and Belleville Police Departments will mobilize for the statewide “Drive Sober Get Pulled Over” traffic safety campaign from December 15 to January 1.

In a joint statement, New Glarus Police Sergeant Jeff Sturdevant and Belleville Police Chief Bill Eichelkraut stated, “During the Drive Sober Get Pulled Over mobilization, our officers will increase our patrol efforts to prevent needless traffic deaths and injuries by arresting drunken drivers and enforcing the mandatory safety belt law.”
