Monticello Continues Search for New Police Chief

The Monticello Village Board met for their regular meeting on Wednesday, December 12, 2016. Trustee Stephen was absent from the meeting.
The board had expected to hear from Jim Steinman in regards to a letter he had sent about planting trees on the terrace. However, it was learned that Steinman was unavoidably detained and would be unable to attend the meeting.
Trustee Larry Strause reported that Monticello Police Chief Tom Erb had turned in his letter of resignation. In his letter Erb said, in part:
