Monroe Martial Arts Competes in Two Tournaments

Monroe Martial Arts recently competed in two tournaments. The first took place in Boscobel, where Carrie Quinn, 12, Monticello, competed and took 1st Place in Board Breaking and Second Place in Forms. Go Carrie!
The second tournament was the Cheese City Classic at the Monroe Middle School, and was hosted by the Monroe Parks and Rec. Department. Sara McNulty, 14, New Glarus, placed 2nd in Board Breaking and 3rd in Forms; Shayln Foster, 10, New Glarus, placed First in Sparring, Second in Forms, and Third in Board Breaking; Noah Lewis, 10, New Glarus, placed First in Forms, and Second in both Board Breaking and Sparring; Luka Theren, 14, New Glarus, placed 3rd in Forms, Sparring and Board Breaking; Gwen Theren, 12, New Glarus, placed 2nd in Forms and Sparring; Kaleb Welhouse, 12, New Glarus, placed 2nd in Board Breaking and 3rd in Forms; Brett Welhouse, New Glarus, placed 2nd in both Forms and Board Breaking; and Wyatt Emmerton placed 1st in Board Breaking, 2nd in Sparring and 3rd in Forms. Isaac Derrickson placed 1st in Sparring, 3rd in Forms and Board Breaking; Hannah Derrickson placed 1st in Forms; Gabriela Golubov (not pictured) placed 2nd in Forms; and Stefan Golubov placed 2nd in Board Breaking and 3rd in both Sparring and Forms.
