New Glarus Girls Begin Season With One Win and Two Losses
The New Glarus Knights girls basketball team, coached by Kim Burton, played their first game on November 15th at home against Argyle. The Knights won, 69-48, against the Orioles.
Devon Boll poured in 21 points, including four 3-pointers, leading the Knights in scoring. Willow Lee put 17 points on the board and had 15 rebounds. Julia Barnaby scored 11 points and had 10 rebounds.
On November 18th, the Knights traveled to Poynette to take on the Pumas. The Pumas won, 73-49.
McKinley Righter led the Knights in scoring with 13 points, and had four rebounds. Willow Lee scored 11 points and had four rebounds. Julia Barnaby put 9 points on the board, and Lexi Krause scored 8 points and had eight rebounds.
The Knights then hosted Lakeside Lutheran on November 22nd, and lost, 57-65, to the Warriors.
Willow Lee led New Glarus with 25 points and 11 rebounds, and Julia Barnaby put 12 points on the board and had 12 rebounds.
The girls traveled to Albany on November 29th, and on December 1st will head to Columbus.
