Avalanche Suffers Tough Loss Against Edgewood
The Madison Edgewood Crusaders hosted the Monroe Avalanche Co-op hockey team on Tuesday, November 22nd. Monroe lost to Edgewood, 1-13.
“It’s always hard with a loss like this. Edgewood is always a good team and even if we have the numbers this year, it’s still a young team. There were some good things that happened tonight and the first 7-10 minutes were really promising,” said Coach Josh Smith.
Jared Dillon, assisted by Jeremy Kolasa and Jared Cline, scored Monroe’s only goal late in the second period.
Daniel Guilliams and Heath Bear shared time in front of the net, making more than 30 saves for the Avalanche.
“We’ve got plenty to work on,” added Coach Smith. “Looking forward to our first home game next Tuesday.”
The Avalanche hosted DeForest at SLICE on November 29th, and on Friday, December 2nd will host McFarland at 7:00 p.m.
