Henrietta M. Beeler

Henrietta M. Beeler, age 89, formerly of Beloit, passed away on November 8, 2016, at the New Glarus Home in New Glarus, WI. She was born in Beloit on August 23, 1927, to her parents, William and Mary (Shorts) Anschutz.

Henrietta grew up in the Gratiot area and attended the Apple River School. On June 29, 1946, she was united in marriage to Robert Beeler at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Beloit. Henrietta worked as a telephone operator and then later as a nursing assistant and EKG technician at the Beloit Memorial Hospital for many years. She also was an EMT and volunteered at the Angel Museum in Beloit. Henrietta was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church in South Beloit. In her retirement she raised award winning Canaries and Shelties.

Henrietta is survived by her children, Deacon Michael (Jan) Beeler of Buford, SC, Steven (Kris) Beeler of Janesville, WI, Dan (Barb) Beeler of Beloit, WI, and Susan (Ralph) Jelle of Blanchardville, WI; grandchildren, Michael (Christine) Beeler Jr., Tanya (Tom) Cutie, Curt Beeler, Carla (Zach) Schoville, Chad Beeler, Derek (Danielle) Rice, Kelly (Joshua) Williams, Derek (Lindsey) Beeler, Douglas (Angie) Beeler, Dawn (Donny) Clifton, David (Courtney) Beeler, Doreen Beeler, Ryan (Lindsey) Jelle, Robia (Kyle Smith) Jelle, and Raylynn Jelle; and 28 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings, Rose Beeler, Janet Forester, Janeal (Jim) Long, and William (Jean) Anschutz Jr .; nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; four sisters; and a brother.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016, at the St. Peter Catholic Church, 620 Blackhawk Blvd., South Beloit, IL, with the Rev. Fr. Steven Sabo and Deacon Michael Beeler officiating with burial in the Mount Thabor Cemetery, Beloit, WI.

Relatives and friends called from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Friday, November 11, 2016, at the St. Peter Catholic Church in South Beloit.

The Zentner-Beal Funeral Home of New Glarus, WI, is assisting the family.

A memorial fund has been established.
