Seven students from the New Glarus High School music department recently attended the Aspiring Music Majors Seminar, held in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Music Conference. This seminar is geared towards students that are interested in pursuing music activities as a major or continuing in a performance ensemble after high school.

At the seminar, students had the opportunity connect with college representatives, visit music oriented exhibits, attend informative sessions, interact with college music majors and attend concerts. The seminar brought students together from all over Wisconsin to gather with music educators, college music majors, performers and others involved in music and music education.

The Wisconsin State Music Conference is attended each year by over 2,000 music educators, performers, exhibitors and parents, as well as college and high school students. New Glarus music educators Amy Doefer, Tim Wurgler and Diane Bettin were also in attendance.
