New Glarus/Monticello won the Capitol Conference South after their 35-7 win over Cambridge on Friday night. NGM will travel to Arcadia on Friday, October 21, to face the Arcadia Raiders in the WIAA Level 1 playoff game, which kicks off at 7:00 p.m.
The New Glarus/Monticello football team became the 2016 Capitol Conference South Champions on Friday night with their 35-7 win in Cambridge.
Tanner Jelle ran it in for a 2-yard gain in the first quarter to score the first touchdown of the game. Trent Sigafus kicked the extra point. Zach Feller ran for 23 yards to score the next touchdown, with Sigafus again kicking the extra point. In the second quarter, John Chenoweth ran for two yards to score a touchdown.
