Last week, Rick Nolden from Francois Ford presented Belleville School District Superintendent Pam Yoder with a check from Ford's Drive 4 UR School test-drive program. The program was launched in 2007 to assist local schools in funding various programs. The Drive 4 UR School test-drive program began as a creative, low-pressure fundraising opportunity. As part of the program, Ford offers a $20 donation for each valid test-drive, up to $6,000 total, which can be used for sports, booster clubs, music programs and the many other miscellaneous expenses associated with running a school.

Superintendent Pam Yoder said, "The School District of Belleville wishes to thank Francois Ford for their generous support of literacy in our schools.  As a partner for continuous school improvement, Francois Ford sponsored a reception for administrators and literacy coaches at Belleville's literacy focused summer institute this past July.  Most recently, Francois Ford donated $1,000.00 that will be used to purchase books for the District's Book Room.  Books in the book room space are used for small group reading instruction at Belleville's Elementary and Intermediate Schools, while the room itself serves as a space for student groups, small study sessions, teacher planning and testing.  Belleville students will benefit for years to come from this wonderful donation."
